Elizabeth Fishel

 

Elizabeth Fishel started writing about her life and her generation on  the Crimson editorial board and continued through five books about families and women's issues including Sisters; Reunion; and Getting To 30:  A Parent's Guide to the 20-Something Years.  She has also written for magazines from Ms. to Vogue to Family Circle and taught writing in the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism and privately in her Wednesday and Friday Writers' groups.  She married her classmate Bob Houghteling in 1978, and they have two sons, Nate and Will.  They joyfully just welcomed their first. grandchild, Eleanor (Nellie) Houghteling, Nate and his wife Anna's daughter.
